The Celtic Tavern is a/k/a Gillespie’s Pub in the CW TV series THE ORIGINALS. The Originals was filmed in Georgia with many of their scenes filmed right in Olde Town Conyers at The Celtic Tavern.  The Originals was an American fantasy supernatural drama television on The CW on October 3, 2013. It is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries. The series follows vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson as he and his family become embroiled in the supernatural politics of the French Quarter of New Orleans. We served as the French Quarter for the series! We are proud to be involved with filming in Olde Town Conyers.  Be sure to visit us at “Gillespies Pub.” We have many businesses including Shops, Salons, and Restaurants. Olde Town Merchants host many events throughout the year.

Opened in 2000, The Celtic Tavern has patio dining overlooking the Olde Town Conyers botanical gardens as well as a menu of draft beers, fish and chips, and shepherd’s pie. Weekly events include trivia, poker nights, acoustic open mic nights, live entertainment, and karaoke.
